On the morning of August 22, Chongben Honors College's work deployment meeting for the summer and autumn semesters of 2022 was held. The meeting focused on the themes of Communist Party construction work and the cultivation of top-notch talents in the college. Gao Huiwang, Dean of Chongben Honors College, presided over the meeting, Wang Shuguang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences, Zhao Dongliang, Chen Qing, and Sun Jing, Deputy Deans of Chongben Honors College, attended the meeting.
Dean Gao gave a comprehensive introduction to the basic situation of the college, informed the progress of various key tasks in 2022, and highlighted the work plan and work points in the summer and autumn semesters.
Deputy Dean Sun introduced the basic situation of Communist Party construction work, ideological and political education, and daily management, analyzed and reported on the main points and difficulties of related work.
Party Secretary Wang fully affirmed the College's solid and effective training of top-notch students in basic disciplines and said that it is the college's glorious mission to train leading talents for the development of marine science and the construction of maritime power. Currently, Chongben Honors College is in its early stage of development. Therefore, the work of the Party-messes relations still relies on the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences. The Party Committee of the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences will continue to support Chongben Honors College and jointly promote the cultivation of top-notch talents.
At the end of the meeting, based on the current situation of the college and work plans of the university and its party construction, Secretary Wang put forward suggestions for the new semester of Communist Party construction and cultivation of top-notch talent work.
